12 Important Life Lessons

  1. Willpower, devotion, and prayer produce results.
  2. Respect is earned by being respectful, not by social stature or rank.
  3. Manipulation is the opposite of love. It is a form of abuse. It is arrogant, insists on its own way, and is full of deceit.
  4. We are called to be loving. And we are called to love.
  5. Everyone is equally important to God. Everyone.
  6. Outward appearance isn’t always reflective of the true heart. Remember that.
  7. A positive attitude builds bridges. A negative attitude burns them.
  8. Friendship is a gift worth investing in.
  9. Doing the right thing always feels good in the end.
  10. Always stand up for what is right, regardless of popularity.
  11. God loves you.
  12. God loves me.

Thankful

So the word “thankful” gets thrown around a lot this time of year. I could say I am thankful for my health, my family, my job, etc. And I am. But this year I am mostly thankful for God’s grace and forgiveness. For if I didn’t have those two things, there is no way I could possibly have anything else worth while. I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t change any of my decisions or my actions over the course of my life. I definitely would. I have done A LOT of stupid things. And I have made some REALLY BAD decisions. So this year I am most thankful that I am forgiven and that God’s grace allows me to continue to grow in who I am as a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a co-worker and a friend. My hope is that you really reflect on what you are thankful for before you say the first answer that rolls off your tongue. Happy Thanksgiving friends.
